It is very rare to see a new alcohol product on the market that looks so boldly to defy conention. Where it is pretty easy to see the general types of spirits placed alongside a mish-mash of “liqueurs”, Courvoisier has made something on the success level of a Nuvo. For those that have not had a chance to sample Courvoiser Rose, it is a linking of red wine with the unmistakable Courvoisier taste. What results still has a decent kick, but it has a number of fruit notes that normally are not expressed when one has a glass of cognac.

While imbibers will be able to sip on Courvoiser Rose, I feel that the infusion of red wine further opens up a number of mixing possibilities. For example, someone that wants to add an additional burn to Courvoiser Rose can put in some straight whiskey, while if the same person wishes to increase the potency, they can add in some vodka. Check out your local liquor store to pick up a bottle of Courvoiser Rose; it will undoubtedly be the hit of any party. Furthermore, it should be seen as an introduction to anyone that may have normally been afraid of cognac in its various forms.
