Humans beware; the most putridly progressive and wildly warped split release of the year is upon us! A total head-to-head freakout-fest featuring two of New Jersey’s premiere tech-prog-psycho metal acts, EL DRUGSTORE and A FUCKING ELEPHANT, the split EP was recently completed and will ooze into the public on July 26, in both CD and digital formats. This will be the maiden voyage for newly formed Nefarious Industries, a label imprint founded by members of both bands. The artwork for the release was completed by Eric Nyffeler, who has also been responsible for all of East of the Wall’s cover artwork to date.

Split EP Track Listing:

A FUCKING ELEPHANT:
01 Blue Crab Fantastic
02 Football With Ukrainians
03 Furious E.
04 Just the Tip
05 Holla! No Babies

EL DRUGSTORE:
06 Those Arm Rests Are Fire
07 Schnurrbart
08 Shit-Eating Dog Kisses
09 Slamcart

From July 14 through 21 both bands will also team up to infest the Northeast with a rash of dates in support of the split EP, with confirmed stops in Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York and more as the final details are being sorted this week.

7/21/2011 The Charleston – Brooklyn, NY w/ Zevious, Father Figures

The trio known as EL DRUGSTORE has been making an unnecessary amount of noise since 2008. Featuring guitarist Kevin Conway and drummer Seth Rheam, both also current members of progressive metal unit and close allies, East Of The Wall, as well as bassist Rolando Alvarado, this Keyport, New Jersey-based outfit drop some of the most aggressive, face-hammering jams to be considered progressive metal. The band’s half of the split EP was recorded with Colin Marston at The Thousand Caves.

A FUCKING ELEPHANT sounds like drug-induced crime. Hailing from scenic Pennington, New Jersey, this experimental metal duo — comprised of members Greg Meisenberg and Matt Keys — have been assaulting basements and forcing acoustic trauma since 2007. Harsh sonic destruction, dope-soaked and wow.
