On August 2, 2011, Brandon Voss and Tony Fornabaio will proudly impart their expertise to produce this year’s Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Annual Manhattan Event. The nightlife dynamos plan to breathe new life into GLAAD’s enchanting summer evening and are proud to assist the non-profit on this pro-bono project. Set against the New York City skyline on one of Manhattan’s largest rooftops (230 Fifth), the chic event will host over 600 supporters and corporate partners aimed at raising funds in support of GLAAD’s work to share culture changing stories of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people that build support for equality.

Drawing inspiration from Brazil’s notorious Carnavals, FornabaioVoss plans to recreate the rhythm and excitement of Rio de Janeiro for GLAAD’s festivities. To support the night’s colorful cast of hosts, Brandon and Tony promise spectacular samba dancers, live percussion, and pop-up performances sure to impress a striking resemblance to authentic carnival attractions. Beyond themed entertainment, Rockit and Club 57’s prized DJ Corey Craig will MC the decks, providing guests with a steady beat.

Providing vocal entertainment this year will be R&B, dance, and pop artist, SHONTELLE. The Barbadian artist will perform embellished with Carnival costume, crooning hit tracks from albums Shontelligence and No Gravity including global chart topper, “Impossible”.

The fundraisers’s prestigious Honorary Host Committee boasts some of the spotlight’s finest in entertainment, fashion, music, journalism, and philanthropy. Popular artist, Lance Bass will host the night with a panel of silver screen stars: Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New York City” favorites Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan, cast of Logo’s “The A-List New York”, and fierce competitors from all three seasons of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Off the small screen, notables include fashion tastemakers Simon Doonan, Malan Breton, and Jonathan Adler, celebrity stylists Phillip Bloch and Derek Warburton, photographer Mike Ruiz, nightlife icon and artist Amanda Lepore, comedian Lisa Lampanelli, and Award Winning CNN journalist Jane Velez-Mitchell.
