After spending the bulk of the past year on the road in support of last November’s excellent Sports LP on Slumberland Records, Weekend are gearing up again to bring their noisy squalor to the East and West Coasts. They’ll be joined on this outing by Talk Normal, a Brooklyn-based duo that shares Weekend’s affinity for creating a cacophony of sound tempered with beautiful, layered textures and propulsive songwriting. Haul out your earplugs because these shows will surely shatter eardrums.
Weekend have also been hard at work on their followup to Sports. Prior to their European tour in July, the band spent three weeks in the studio with producer Monte Vallier crafting their new EP, simply titled Red. Prepare yourself for yet another much-needed sonic assault coming this fall on Slumberland Records.
