Albert Swarm’s brilliant debut EP is available now via Brooklyn’s Ceremony Recordings. Released first digitally, the release will soon be available on a limited edition vinyl run. Recorded during a brief stay in NY, each of the five tracks featured on Held perfectly capture Swarm’s thoughts and feelings being in a big city on his own. Definitely sparse, the soundscapes Swarm creates are also incredibly rich and inviting, as if Swarm wants to show you a new part of town he’s just discovered.

While “Familialities” became the first single and subsequently premiered on XLR8R , the follow up single “Foundling Wheels” appeared on Athens based blog LaGaSta earlier this week. Albert Swarm also recently lent his remixing talents to San Francisco based singer/producer Courtship on his Eve Remixes EP premiering first on the Fader . With his first release firmly under his belt, Albert Swarm is already hitting the studio — only this time from home in northern Finland — and preparing his next effort.
