Celebrated punk rock icons Bad Religion have announced tour dates in the southern hemisphere in support of their acclaimed new album The Dissent Of Man. The influential Southern California band will be taking their thought provoking high energy sound on a twelve city tour beginning in Jakarta Indonesia on September 20th and ending in Rio de Janeiro on October 15th. In between, the group will travel to Australia for the Soundwave Festival.

This will be the first time Bad Religion has toured the Indonesian archipelago and singer (and current Ivy League professor) Greg Graffin is particularly excited to be following the footsteps of renowned explorer, naturalist and fellow evolutionist Alfred Russel Wallace to this remarkable biogeographic province. “Although I’m taking time away from my lectures in evolution this fall, it will be a truly inspirational journey,” Graffin explains. “I’m going to be thinking of A.R. Wallace when I’m looking out at all those Indonesian punk fans.”

In addition, Bad Religion’s supremely talented drummer Brooks Wackerman is currently gracing the cover of the August issue of world leading drum magazine, Modern Drummer. As the magazine describes, “Playing with economy and craft, using his double kick drum to propel the band’s scorching songs, Wackerman turns punk drumming into art.” The issue features a profile on Brooks and an extensive interview with him on topics ranging from his evolving musical tastes, pre-performance yoga and how he plays at such a frantic pace without ever seeming to tire.
