Forged through a combination of cured meats and various prescription drugs, Minneapolis’ hardcore punk-masters, BRAIN TUMORS, release their unforgettable self-titled 7″ through Fashionable Idiots and Pass Judgement Records on August 22, 2011 – the same day they embark upon a two-week journey with fellow Minneapolis moron-trailblazers, MUCH WORSE.

Fashionable Idiots spokesperson, Andy Peterson, had the following to say regarding the release of such an uncontrollable juggernaut:

“I think one of these guys is a cop. I heard they have a lot of drugs and a great guitar tone. I look forward to hearing them.”

Produced by Matt Castore (Condominium, Jane’s Addiction, Audioslave) and drawing influence from early Husker Du and a bunch of obscure Japanese hardcore, the record features six ripping tracks covering original topics like being punk, getting older, drinking, and problems with girls.

“I don’t know if I should practice tonight,” says drummer Dan Fuckhead Johnson over text messages. “I might have given myself a mild concussion at practice last night by hitting myself in the temple area with a drum stick. Yeah, dude, it was crazy.”

The record comes hot on the heels of their sold-out demo cassette, which Maximum RocknRoll called, “really fucking good”.
