Drawing on influences that range from Sufjan Stevens, Bright Eyes, Architecture in Helsinki and Air, Daniela and Ben Spector have managed to create a unique electric-folk sound that is all their own. The first single “Cut it Out,” (featuring M. Jack Bee) is a highly emotive back-and-forth between two lovers with a waking-dream feel reminiscent of the best work put out by Norwegian alt-pop-and-folk duo the Kings of Convenience–and it’s already secured the #1 spot on the Israeli charts. The new video for “Cut it Out” features metaphorical slow-motion footage of an old rodeo. Paired with the tone and lyrics of the song, the imagery takes on a blissful, meditative aspect that perfectly defines what it means to be in love.
