Glee is a global sensation. It is not surprising that Fox will go all out with their Blu-Ray and DVD releases regarding the show, but I feel that I was completely surprised when we received a copy of Glee: The Complete Second Season. Aside from the season’s episodes, the Glee Music Jukebox will allow viewers to rapidly find their favorite tracks to the show and rock out like it’s no one’s business. The two “insulting” featurettes – Santana Slams and Sue’s Quips – are incredibly funny, while the fourth wall is broken with the inclusion of Building Glee’s Auditorium.

I believe that the inclusion of previously unseen material – like “Planet, Schmanet, Janet” – will be what hooks Gleeks the easiest. Key of these new pieces has to be “The Making of the Rocky Horror Glee Show”, which provides a great deal of additional information about the tremendous work put into making an adult cult classic into something that individuals of all ages can enjoy.

Pick up Glee: The Complete Second Season from an online retailer today; one that digs deep enough should be able to pick up the release for around $45. There is more than enough material present on this DVD release to keep viewers interested and happy until Glee returns for its 3rd season on September 20th.
