Madison, WI four-piece Locksley are looking forward to a busy fall as they prepare to hit the road in support of their new self-titled album. Locksley, released this July on Feature Records, has won praise from a wide spectrum of critics for it’s catchy power pop hooks and infectious 50’s rock ‘n’ roll and modern garage mash-up style. Blurt Magazine lauded the bands “irrepressible enthusiasm,” going on to say that the “self-titled disc provides a terrific come-on.” In a 4 of 5 stars review, Glide Magazine calls the album a “smart summery toe-tapper bound to stick in your head,” while USA Today’s Pop Candy provided compliments for their hit single “The Whip” for sounding “like something Weezer might’ve put out a few years ago.”

Watch the Dance Mashup fan created video for “The Whip” featuring cameos from Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Michael Jackson, Prince, and many others!

Since the release of the album Locksley have kept busy all summer with tour dates and festival plays, as well as live performance appearances on MTV’s Buzzworthy and the MLB Fancave. During that time most of America has been exposed to their sound via national radio play for their singles, as well as commercials for Ford, Chevy, and American Family Insurance that have featured songs from the record. This evening they’re honored to play the opening party for the Society of Illustrators exhibit “Rolling Stone And The Art Of The Record Review” featuring select artwork from the Rolling Stone reviews section over the years.

Locksley are incredibly eager to visit with and perform live for their growing national fan base as they tour cross-country this fall. Please be in touch if you need a copy of the new album, or would like to come out to one of the shows.
