Vivian Girls and Widowspeak, two bands with origins in Brooklyn have teamed up for a brief tour that launches tonight in Philadelphia at Johnny Brenda’s. Widowspeak just released its debut self-titled album on Captured Tracks and this is the first full tour the band has ever done. Vivian Girls by comparison are road veterans, having toured the globe over the past few years several times over — they released their third official LP, Share the Joy on Polyvinyl back in April.
