Adventure Time may just be the most fresh show that Cartoon Network has aired since Ed, Edd, ‘n Eddy was still in production. The sheer amount of pop-culture references present, tied to a fantasy backdrop, makes this into a show that can be enjoyed no matter whether the watcher is 8, 28, or 58. Along with Regular Show, Adventure Time is part of a major resurgence for Cartoon Network. My Two Favorite People is the first Adventure Time DVD, and it give viewers that may have missed the show the first time around a way to catch up with Finn and Jake. The DVD presents a variety of episodes from the show’s first two seasons; a sampler of sorts that will sharpen a viewer’s desire into a keen passion for the show.

I believe that Cartoon Network is testing the waters with this DVD; at $10 on Amazon, they are seeing whether it will be profitable to put the show into a home entertainment format. With the collection of episodes the way it is, I believe that they are giving fans a fair shake. Buy enough of My Two Favorite People and they will put out full season DVDs of the show. A cheap price, strong episode selection, and an over two hour runtime makes this the perfect holiday or birthday gift. For those that have already seen the show, buying the DVD will make it possible to skip out on television and watch Finn and Jake exclusively.
Advneture Time is a show that has to be seen to be believe, and buying the DVD at your local video store or retailer will show viewers exactly how off the wall this cartoon is.
