I have a soft spot for bands that have an emotive rock velour – All The Right Moves start out of the gate with a blend of Yellowcard, Philmore, and Melee. Point of View will impress with every recorded note – the production allows the splashy drum, honest vocals, and fulfilling arrangements to work perfectly. At the end of a single listen, I found myself following the band’s imperative.

With such a confident and fun introduction, All The Right Moves have some large shoes to fill. The Monster I’ve Become moves to You Always Bring Me Down, a track that highlights the musical skill of the band. The stylistic decisions made by All The Right Moves here links together Panic At The Disco with a blend of influences that are as diverse as Queen and Broadway musicals. The band is able to keep the momentum going with You Always Bring Me Down by focusing on the fundamentals the vocals and instrumentation both work towards a common goal. The Monster I’ve Become pushes the band to the red line – the bold guitar work here strives for dominance.

Learn To Love Again is perhaps the most important track on The Monster I’ve Become, as it gives the listeners to see a much different side of the act. During Learn To Love Again, The Monster I’ve Become takes in the style of folk and bluegrass – this adds a richness to the overall sound that makes this into a true treat. The band exhibits enough talent that they can moderate these guitars with slower-paced vocals and impeccable drum work. I believe that All The Right Moves will be able to transfer their essence better in a live format, so make sure to check and see whether the band is hitting up your town in the next few months. If seeing them is not a possibility, the frenetic energy present here will be able to keep listeners warm throughout the end of the fall and into the upcoming winter.
