After a successful CMJ, Detroit’s Bear Lake is launching their third record, If You Were Me amid much praise. The album is featured on AOL’s Spinner this week, their song, “Breaking Me Down” was featured on Magnet’s MP3 at 3PM and the band recently gave an extensive interview at Medleyville.

Bear Lake has been compared to Coldplay and Keane (Bill’s Music Forum), Snow Patrol and Mercury Rev (Aiding and Abetting) and Real Detroit Weekly is calling If You Were Me, an album full of hits equally at home as a TV soundtrack and at a cocktail party. The dynamic band, whose music has appeared on One Tree Hill, Bones, and The Gates, will also be performing at Arlene’s Grocery for CMJ’s Outlaw Roadshow Showcase co-sponsored by Green Light Go and also featuring Hey Marseilles. If You Were Me will be released October 25th. The album is available on Amazon, iTunes and CDBaby.
