After Conan O’Brien was jerked around by the powers that be, I feel that ey really let it affect eir. This is seen especially in eir current show; I believe that there has been a certain spark that is not usually present there. However, Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop is a release that showcases that speak and shows it to individuals that may not be too familiar with O’Brien’s earlier work on network television. Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop focuses on the interim time between O’Brien’s gigs, when ey went on the “Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television Tour”.

Being able to see the cream of the crop from these performances, one can see exactly why O’Brien is one of comedy’s hottest commodies even after decades in the business. This is shown even alongside other established comics like Jim Carrey and Andy Richter. While I wish the feature would have been longer, Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop provides viewers with a look into O’Brien’s mindset during a very trying time in eir life. Rather than being muzzled by network television, O’Brien was able to parlay unemployment into creating enjoyment for sell-out crowds through the United States.

If you are a fan of O’Brien’s work on The Simpsons or on either of eir late night shows, purchase a copy of Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop from any well-stocked brick and mortar place or from an online retailer. Magnolia has made a must-see film out of a number of stand-up stops, and has tied a narrative to the release that simply does not present itself with a great many of these types of films.
