There are a number of different multi-use tools that are currently on the market. However, the Gerber Fit is one of the best. This is due to its quality, number of tools, and sheer versatility. Where I believe that other multi-tools on the market are a little on the flimsy side, the Gerber Fit’s screwdriver, tweezers, scissors, pick, and knife all are constructed of thick metal.

This ensures that no matter what an individual attempts to do with the Fit, it will work admirably. The color scheme is muted but distinct enough to be able to find it on the ground, while there is a certain weight that it possesses that provides further comfort. While other Gerber products could do specific tasks better than the fit – the Answer XL for cutting, for example – I believe that the Fit is a must have tool in a way that a single-use implement simply cannot be.
The camping season may be coming to a close soon, but I feel that there will be more than enough things that one can fix, cut, or otherwise modify with the Fit.

I believe that the tool’s price (around $20-30) should make it a perfect purchase for a birthday or other holiday season. The rugged design of the fit ensures that it will stay in service for a number of years (and perhaps decades) after the individual first unwraps it from the plastic. The addition of the flashlight to the mix further differentiates it from the other products on the market, and makes it the perfect tool for low-light and darkness situations. If your multitool is on its last legs, there is no reason why you should not pick up a Gerber Fit today.
