Montreal-based quartet The Barr Brothers have released their self-titled debut via Secret City Records. The official video for single “Beggar In The Morning” premiered HERE on NPR’s All Songs Considered. Artist Stephen Bircher used road-kill bones to build puppets, which were then animated and bear the likenesses of Andrew and Brad Barr, Sarah Page (harpist) and Andres Vial (multi-instrumentalist). While discussing the inspiration behind the video, director Sebastian Lange said: “All the world’s a stage, do your part, shake your bones. The Barr Brothers are bone shakers.”

The Barr Brothers will be on tour in support of their record through December. Dates and more info are below.

“Without a doubt, The Barr Brothers self-titled album has cemented itself as one of the most diverse and well written this year. Be sure to take the time to really dig into each track — you’ll find something different and astounding each time you listen.” – THE WILD HONEY PIE

“Dazzling!” – MY OLD KENTUCKY BLOG (on “Beggar in the Morning”)

“Rich in production, instrumental prowess, clever lyrics and guests, The Barr Brothers’ self-titled record is about as strong as a debut release gets.” – STICKY MAGAZINE
