After a whirlwind seven date U.S. run earlier this month, Britain’s Viva Brother announce additional tour dates kicking off October 16th at Philadelphia, PA’s Johnny Brenda’s. The select fall tour marks the forth visit to North America for the four young lads from Slough (the setting for the British version of The Office): guitarist/vocalist Lee Newell, guitarist Sam Jackson, bassist Josh Ward, and drummer Frank Colucci.

The August 2nd release of their full length A&M/Octone debut Famous First Words, delivers a pop rock uppercut to American audiences that SPIN dubs, “guitar rock that seems factory-tooled for open-air-festival croon-a-longs.” The ten-track opus of glittering brevity produced by Stephen Street (Blur, The Smiths) has earned Viva Brother accolades on both sides of

The Atlantic, including this from the Boston Phoenix: “Famous First Words is bubbling with a celebratory, on-the-piss bloke-rock arrogance rarely seen in the aughts.”

Viva Brother has already appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live! The band spent their summer performing at all the major European festivals including Ibiza Rocks, Isle of White, Glastonbury, Hurricane, Oxygen, festivals at Leeds and Reading in their motherland and still had time to perform at Summersonic in Japan.
