I have no idea how they keep doing it, but spirits manufacturers are able to key in to a specific set of flavors and impeccably create a spirit that tastes like it should. Hiram Walker has made a Caramel Apple Liqueur that fits into this perfectly. At 15% ABV, one should not be afraid that a few shots will put them under the table. Keeping some alcohol burn to the spirit makes for a more complex experience than would be present – this burn complements the apple flavor of the liqueur perfectly.

The Hiram Walker Caramel Apple Liqueur works in whichever configuration one wants it – I am personally a fan of shots of the stuff, while Hiram Walker has created a number of distinct recipes that use the liqueur. My favorite would have to be the blend of Glenlivet, the Caramel Apple Liqueur, and Orange Bitters. The boldness of the Glenlivet is moderated nicely by the sweetness of the Caramel Apple, while the orange adds another side to what imbibers taste whenever they take a sip.

I would like to see Hiram Walker take on Candy Apple in the next year or so; this Caramel Apple Liqueur is able to stand on its own, in mixed drinks, or even alongside juices or sodas. There is no reason that individuals should not pick up a bottle of Hiram Walker Caramel Apple Liqueur – at $10 for a 750ml, it represents an easy way to bring all of the nuances of fall into one sweet, alluring spirit. You can find it at any well-stocked liquor store, or even a grocery store if you are lucky enough to have that opportunity.
