Sleep Essentials (Sleep Aid)

Reviewer note: We received this sample from Swanson directly for review, gratis.

There are a number of different sleep aids on the market. While they usually contain the same constellation of vitamins, minerals, and other materials, Swanson has done their work and made a supplement that combines all the different schools of thought about increasing an individual’s ability to sleep. This means that Sleep Essentials has Valerian, Chamomile, Hops, L-Taurine, Passionflower, GABA and Melatonin, while adding a new herb to the mix – Scullcap. Scullcap (nickname for Scutellaria barbata) is a traditional Chinese herb; its use in sleep remedies and as an antidepressant is well documented.

What results in Sleep Essentials is a product that can be taken about thirty minutes to an hour before bed, resulting in a fulfilling sleep that will refresh and ensure that an individual is ready for the next day. The pre-sleep effect of the Sleep Essentials pill is one of relaxation – one will not be forced to sleep. Rather, I found that I had a tremendous amount of drive before laying down – I was able to finish up whichever projects that I currently had on my table before putting my head to pillow. The price of Sleep Essentials is very low (about $5 a bottle for 120 nights of sleep), so if you have had any sort of problem with sleeping, make sure to pick up a bottle. Swanson prides itself on providing the healthiest and most effective products on the market, and Sleep Essentials is no exception.
