Throughout all of 2011, Nickelodeon’s DVD-releasing wing has make sure to keep viewers abreast of their new shows as well as able to purchase older shows from one’s childhood. Aside from making gobs of money, Nickelodeon has provided a significant service to all fans, young and old. This trend continues with the DVD release of the second half of Victorious’s first season. The video quality of this DVD is better than broadcast quality, deleting all of the commercials and other distractions that would normally be present.

This DVD set, taken with the first volume (released earlier this year), is the perfect introduction for viewers that missed the episodes when they originally aired. Furthermore, it catches up viewers to the beginning of the second season, which began in April and started back up in October.

Nickelodeon has added features to the Victorious Season One, Volume Two DVD release that further increase the value of the set. There is a music video for Best Friend’s Brother, as well as footage of the mash-up that the cast of iCarly and Victorious had during “iParty with Victorious”. At a $20 MSRP (and a $16 price at online retailers), fans of Victorious will be sated by this release. This DVD set will keep viewers busy for quite a few hours, so I can not recommend this release strong enough for a birthday or holiday gift. Here’s to hoping that Nickelodeon is able to release the first volume of the second season of Victorious here in the next few months – I know that I am stoked for it.
