Modular Recordings is proud to announce the newest addition to the family: YOUNG DREAMS.

The Norwegian collective, headed up by composer/multi-instrumentalist/producer Matias Tellez, gained notice in November 2010, after three songs they uploaded to their Facebook page were picked up on by international music press. Festival appearances followed (By:Larm, Hove Festival, Camden Crawl), and a beautifully shot, faintly unsettling video by Scandinavian director Kristoffer Borgli, which helped cement the band as one to watch.

Fusing tropicalia, psychedelic rock, traditional pop, and classical symphonic arrangements, and featuring a revolving cast of up to ten members, Young Dreams may indeed be young but their dreams are big, sprawling, and utterly iridescent.

To celebrate the signing to Modular, Young Dreams are giving away their eponymous track HERE.
This track is cleared for download and posting.

>From the band: “This was one of the first songs we recorded for our forthcoming album. The whole Young Dreams project started as a reaction to the values in contemporary pop songwriting, arranging, and producing. This was our attempt to make a song with a focus on late romantic harmonies and arrangements, kind of like a homage to how people composed back in the days, inspired by Grieg’s lyric pieces.”
