The heavenly rocking sounds of FOXY SHAZAM’s The Church of Rock and Roll are finally set free amongst the mortals of Earth today via I.R.S. Records. The group celebrates its fourth release with an exclusive album stream via RollingStone.com http://t.co/7gicAaoa. “I Like It,” the first single furthers the band’s irrepressible mystique and solidifies their stellar vocals and musicianship. Gaining unprecedented Major Market radio support a month in advance of the official 2/20 add date, with the likes of WKLS, Atlanta; WXTB, Tampa; and WBUZ, Nashville already putting “I Like It” into rotation. “I Like It” can be downloaded here: http://bit.ly/tR20m2.

I.R.S. Records will be operated in a new partnership between EMI Music, and Crush Management’s Jonathan Daniel and Bob McLynn, who were instrumental in the recent re-emergence of Train. I.R.S. Records was launched in 1979, and was the home to groundbreaking artists including R.E.M., The Go-Go’s, and The Dead Kennedys during its 17-year history. Bob McLynn says of the revival “I.R.S. has a history of breaking innovative acts. In that spirit, FOXY SHAZAM is here to give rock a big kick in the ass.”

The band will commence a string of North American tour dates with glam rockers The Darkness kicking off in Ontario, CA February 1st making a few stops on the East coast, blowing the roof off of some Midwest venues and then wrapping up with a bang in Los Angeles on February 21st. Recently FOXY SHAZAM assembled for a spectacular SOLD OUT hometown album release show in Cincinnati, OH. Disc Jockey Fin from WFTK announced the band while local pizzeria Padrino (whom have a pizza named the Foxy Shazam), played an intimate campfire style performance to the jam packed restaurant earlier in the day.

In the weeks leading up to release front man and creative mastermind Eric Nally has developed a series of webisodes via the bands YouTube channel. Here he shells out financial advice and allows you an exclusive glimpse into the world that is FOXY SHAZAM www.youtube.com/user/foxyshazamtv.

“Don’t bother asking the band to define their sound,” Rolling Stone states “but suffice to say it’s full of loud guitars and strong, wailing vocals.” While Outburn magazine calls them “Rock Funk Soul Swagger; there is not a moment wasted across these 11 tracks”.

The Church of Rock and Roll is a serious statement from the mysterious group of musicians, led by singer Eric Nally. His emotional exclamations about life and death passionately revive the idea of classic rock stars for a modern generation. Once fans get a listen to The Church of Rock and Roll, they will be praying for more from the genre-bending musical Gods that are FOXY SHAZAM http://goo.gl/xUs7W
