Continuing the home recording tradition of My Dad is Dead, East River Pipe and Sebadoh,
Italian Horn, the solo project of New York City writer behind Radio Silence and Live…Suburbia, Anthony Pappalardo, announces the release of his Red Affair 12″ debut via DAIS Records.

Watch the Italian Horn-created video for title track “Red Affair” and
listen to the track from the Red Affair 12″ DAIS027.

Channeling equal parts Guided By Voices, Bailterspace and Flying Saucer Attack, synth and subtle noise intertwine with short strummed songs and washed-out shoegaze reverb guitar creating direct but layered soundscapes throughout Red Affair. The cover collage was created by Robert Pollard (GBV) and the release is limited to 300 vinyl copies and available digitally.

Upcoming DAIS Records Releases
DAIS029 – Seth Price – Army Jacket LP
A conceptual visual artist who lives and works in New York, considered by most to be one of the most interesting and thought-provoking artists to currently be at work, Seth Price’s sculpture, video and painting has been exhibited internationally at venues including the Tate London and the Museum of Modern Art. Price has been working in sound and music for number of years and this special reissue LP release gathers and remasters tracks originally released on a limited edition CD through the Reena Spaulings Art Gallery and features new, exclusive artwork by Price.

DAIS030 – American Cloud Songs – Aum LP
Folk artist and American tattooer Robert Ryan turned the occult on its back with this solo recording endeavor. Ryan’s understanding of meditative drone coupled with hidden knowledge of the metaphysical plane and steeped heavily in primitive folk tradition and sacred geometric imagery make American Cloud Songs an entirely unique experience.

DAIS031 – Tor Lundvall – The Shipyard LP
The Shipyard was recorded during the full season change-over of ’09/’10, during which time Lundvall was immersing himself in portrait studies of local maritime themes and nautical life at the docks. This instrumental collection of songs composed the soundtrack to the final renderings of these conceptional themes put side by side, for which semblance he is most know for. Limited to 500 hand numbered copies with artwork by Tor Lundvall.

DAIS032 – The Majesty – Live at the Pezner 1999
The elusive collaboration between Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and Bryin Dall, this unique live document captures Thee Majesty at its most flexible, changing up tone and structure at a moments notice and harmonizing the abstract poetry of P-Orridge’s mainstay language and Dall’s meditative and complex drones. Recorded live in 1999 at the famed Pezner Theater in Paris, France. Limited to 500 copies with liner notes by Bryin Dall.

DAIS035 – aTelecine – Entkopplung LP
After releasing their debut LP on Dais in the summer of 2010, aTelecine composed the recent soundtrack to the English/German film Entkopplung. This electronic score should be heard as a separate but yet equal vehicle to the film, an experience the listener shouldn’t worry about it altering the later cinematic encounter. Sonically it’s mission is complex and none vocal, purely enriching the narrative…and melodically creating all the necessary in-between nightmare illustrations. Limited to 500 copies.

DAIS036 – Genesis P-Orridge & Stan Bingo – What’s History LP
Originally released as a cassette on the cryptic Austrian tape label, Nekrophile, in 1983, this simplistic experimental recording was a industrial classic ahead of it’s time. Recorded in 1981 in the Hackney bedroom of Genesis P-Orridge, who at this point was romping through his final months in seminal industrial act Throbbing Gristle, this original recording, due to the scarcity of its original format was somewhat forgotten, only to be coveted by collectors. This vinyl LP is an authorized reissue by both artists and limited to 500 copies.
