The first 10” release in the Broken Sunlight series hits stores on April 24, 2012 and will house “Dumpin Em All” featuring Bumpy Knuckles and “When You Sleep” featuring “Large Professor.” Embed code for the streaming player of the first 10” is below. Check out and post up the video for “Dumpin Em All” here.

Nu-Mark works with two MCs he’s long admired for the first 10” installment. With Bumpy Knuckles on “Dumpin Em All, ” Nu-Mark “was ready to man the board and record his vocals but he punched in his own vocals with a controller inside the vocal booth.  This is the most prepared and underestimated MC I’ve worked with to date.” Large Professor is featured on “When You Sleep” and Nu-Mark says “Large Pro is still in my top 10 favorite MC’s and producers of all time.  His vocal pocket is funky and timeless.  Large Pro seamlessly compares graffiti to crime in this anthem.  He’s was literally one of the people I had on my checklist to work with before I died!”

As a member of the critically acclaimed, gold-selling Hip-Hop outfit, Jurassic 5, DJ Nu-Mark graced the group with precision production and cutting edge stage routines. He’s also appeared on countless TV Shows with J5, including David Letterman, Conan O’Brien, Jimmy Kimmel and Craig Ferguson.

After more than three years of brainstorming, experimenting and collaborating, he has finished his debut solo album Broken Sunlight, which reveals his influences and innovations into a jaw dropping collection of heartfelt music.

Broken Sunlight also mirrors the marketing behind the album. Instead of releasing all of the songs at once, Nu-Mark plans to post two songs per month for seven months. “At the end of the cycle, I’m going to release the full album with instrumentals, accapelas, and a documentary style DVD of my collaborations in the studio and on the road”.
