The video for Keane’s first single “Silenced By The Night,” off their highly anticipated fourth studio album Strangeland, premieres on VEVO today. The video was shot by renowned rock music video director Christopher Sims in a lime salt mine in Austin, Texas. It follows the story of two friends on a road trip, whose feelings for each other genuinely develop from friendship to falling in love. Watch it here.

Strangeland will be released May 8th on Cherrytree/Interscope Records. To pre-order the album visit http://smarturl.it/KeaneStrangeland . First single “Silenced By The Night” is available now http://smarturl.it/KeaneSilenced.

Keane marked their long awaited return in March with two sold out fan shows at their local venue the De La Warr Pavilion in Bexhill, and their first ever performances at the SXSW Music Festival. While in Austin singer Tim Chaplin and keyboardist Tim Rice-Oxley sat down for an interview with VEVO to discuss their new album Strangeland – watch here.

Keane is singer Tom Chaplin, drummer Richard Hughes, keyboardist Tim Rice-Oxley and bassist Quin. Four years have elapsed since Keane’s last album Perfect Symmetry; two since Night Train, the EP which followed its three full-length predecessors to the top of the British album charts, securing them a place in pop history. If Keane’s feverishly loyal fanbase wondered what the group’s next album would sound like, they weren’t the only ones. In the eight years following the release of 2004’s 9× platinum Brit award winning Hopes & Fears, every Keane album has marked a clear progression from the previous one: the anxious emotional terrain mapped out by Under The Iron Sea to the iridescent pop of Perfect Symmetry.
