As you enter the autumn years of your life, the physical effects of aging start becoming perceptible. Dark spots, saggy skin, baggy eyes, and fine lines all begin to become visible. You may take hgh supplements to combat this change but in case you are not in favor of this method of treatment, there’s still a lot you can do.

If you’re one of the people who wouldn’t easily surrender to the worn-out, haggard look that comes with growing old, here are a few things you can do to grow old gracefully:

  1. Skin Care – You must cleanse, tone and moisturize religiously. Also, exfoliate regularly to eliminate dead cells that get accumulated. While deep cleansing and exfoliating eliminates dirt and dead cells, deep moisturizing when the skin is damp ensures that your skin absorbs the moisture, replenishing it well. Also, use an anti-wrinkle cream or a night cream regularly.

Nothing ages skin as fast as exposure to sun, smoke and pollution. Apply a good sunscreen, before you step into the sun. If you are a smoker, then stop smoking, as it will cause grooves around your mouth. It has also been found that smoking reduces the speed of skin cell regeneration, thereby causing it to become dull and lifeless.

To retain the youthful glow in your skin, massage it regularly to enhance blood circulation. It cleanses toxins from skin and helps in cell regeneration. Take care of your skin by pampering it. Change your skin care routine with the change in season. Skin is very delicate and is attached to muscles and bones with the help of fibrous bands. These bands loosen not only with age but also harsh handling, causing sagging of skin. Handle your skin gently when you are applying make up or giving yourself a facial.

  1. Diet – Although, skin care is essential, it only takes external care of your skin. You must also take steps to provide internal nourishment to your skin by taking an anti-wrinkle diet. As sun, pollution and smoking et al cause havoc on skin, resulting in formation of wrinkles, age spots and pigmentation et al, take a diet rich in antioxidants.

Foods such as carrots, broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, hazelnuts, avocado, raspberries, peas, mango, papaya, strawberries, black grapes and prunes are rich in antioxidants like Selenium, Zinc, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, E and beta-carotene.

Flax seed and its oil, oily fishes, extra virgin olive oil et al having abundance of Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids are good anti-wrinkle food. Green tea concoctions have properties that not only delay physical signs of aging but also help in keeping good health.

Green tea has properties that reduces skin cancer, controls blood sugar and blood pressure and also helps to lose weight. In addition to all these, ensure that your daily intake of water is at least 2 liters. It enhances cell metabolism and flushes out toxins from the body. Water also contains nutrients essential for a healthy and glowing skin.

  1. Exercise – Aerobics and other forms of exercises that relax the body regulate the production of endorphins, resulting in a healthy body and mind. It also flushes out toxins, enhances blood circulation and increases adrenaline. Include exercises for neck and face to smooth out wrinkles and keep skin taut and supple.

With the right combination of diet, exercise and skin care, you can delay aging. Your skin will glow with internal good health.
