With dance music reaching new heights in America Robbie Rivera’s stepped up his game and taken things to the next level. Thus far in 2012 he toured the country by bus with Bass Jackers and Peace Treaty on the “Dance Or Die Bus Tour,” presented another edition of his Miami Music Week fan favorite “Juicy Beach” party and recently released his new artist album, “Dance Or Die” on Black Hole Recordings. This summer is no time for relaxation as Robbie for the first time takes Juicy Beach out of Miami and brings it on the road for select live dates – including the first ever Juicy New York at Governor’s Island on June 14.

Since 2005, Robbie Rivera and his wife and business partner, Monica, have been the driving forces behind the world-renown Juicy Beach party at WMC in Miami each March. The 17-hour events at Nikki Beach Club attract a cast of over 5500 clubbers as well as A-list DJs, and the party has gone on to become one of the week’s most successful events. From 2006 to 2008 Juicy Ibiza parties at Amnesia (sponsored by Armani Exchange) and Privilege in Ibiza & Catwalk in Barcelona welcomed over 6,000 clubbers. To date Juicy Beach has featured a who’s who of DJ talent including Kaskade, Deadmau5, Benny Benassi, Axwell, Sander van Doorn, Steve Angello, Mark Knight, Dirty South, Sebastian Ingrosso, Laidback Luke, Joachim Garraud, Thomas Gold and George Acosta, among others.

In addition to the live element of the brand, Juicy encompasses Robbie’ highly syndicated radio show, “The Juicy Show,” featuring today’s top guest DJs such as Laidback Luke, Dero, 3LAU, Roger Sanchez and Alex Gaudino. On July 14, Juicy New York will bring the Juicy Beach vibe to New York City and turn Governor’s Island into a dance music oasis. Careful attention is being made to select a lineup that reflects Juicy’s strict programming policy while also giving a nod to New York City’s rich house music history. We believe Juicy New York will offer a truly compelling lineup that can’t be found anywhere else during the summer…and in an unforgettable setting.

While we won’t be revealing the Juicy New York lineup until closer to the event, one thing that’s certain is that Robbie’s set will be packed with his own classics, many culled from his new album Dance Or Die.  The album features some of the most well respected, chart-topping vocalists in dance music today such as Blake Lewis, Lizzie Curious, Sue Cho, and Wynter Gordon.  Singles include the progressive masterpiece “Roxy,” which hit #4 on Beatport’s top 10 chart, “Turn It Around,” which was rated #5 on MTV Buzzworthy’s list of 5 Must Hear Pop Songs of the Week, the electro jam “Makes Me Feel Good,” (which peaked at #8 on Beatport’s Electro House chart), “Forever Young” (#1 on Beatport’s Electro House Page for 4 weeks and #4 on the main page chart for 2 weeks) and his new single with Wynter Gordon, “In the Morning” (Top 5 on the Beatport Electro House Chart.) Dance Or Die transitions from Pop, with “In the Morning” featuring Wynter Gordon and “It’s A Feeling” featuring Lizzie Curious, to hard-hitting electro with ”Dance Your Ass Off” featuring Mr. Eyes, all the way to a tribal version of “Forever Young”.  This is hands down Robbie’s most innovative and energetic album of his career.

Robbie Rivera is one of the most prolific names in dance music. Following successful releases on established labels like Subliminal, Filtered, Positiva, Defected, MOS ,Azuli and Strictly Rhythm, Robbie launched his own Juicy Music label in 1998. His distinctive brand of sexy, pounding, dirty, electro-tinged house music ignites dance-floors across the globe. Throughout the years Robbie’s musical stylings have lead to a strong collection of dance floor favorites attached to his name. In 2002 Rivera released a collaboration with a young producer named Axwell entitled “Burning”. The track garnered universal praise and set the stage for his 2003 hit “BANG”, reaching Top 10 on the UK charts, used in the Sydney Olympics, and selling 500,000 copies. But, perhaps Robbie’s biggest track to date would be the worldwide smash “Funkatron”, a track cited as an influence to many of today’s electro house classics. These tracks are only limited highlights in an illustrious career that as well include the hits “Back To Zero” and “Girlfriend”(still on daily rotation on SiriusXM BPM and many online stations including Pandora) and remixes of tracks by top artists such as Tiësto, Madonna, David Guetta, Kaskade, Deadmau5, Armin Van Buuren, Faithless, Ricky Martin, Santana, Rod Stewart, and Roger Sanchez.
