Sergent Garcia brings his vibrant Latin and reggae sounds back to North America this July for an 8 city tour, including San Diego’s Asi Suena Latin Rock Fest, Madison’s La Fête de Marquette and Montreal’s Festival Nuits D’Afrique.
Already a household name in Europe, 2011’s highly celebrated Una y Otra Vez was Sergent Garcia’s first album in over 5 years and solidified his legacy as a salsa-reggae superstar this side of the Atlantic. It also saw Sergent Garcia’s exciting new artistic direction, collaborating with some of the hottest names in Colombia’s scorching electrotropical music scene. Since the release of Una y Otra Vez, Sergent Garcia has spent a lot of time in South America and earlier this year digitally released with Cali, Colombia’s Zalama Crew a “re-imagined” version of his song “Mi Son Mi Friend” entitled “Calentura Mi Son.” Both releases can be streamed & purchased at the Cumbancha Official Store.

Purchase tickets & find the full, up-to-date show listing on Sergent Garcia’s tour page.

It’s fresh, it’s topical, it’s relevant, and it’s fun enough to blast from your car speakers ad infinitum until the warm weather subsides (and beyond).

Fans of Manu Chao will find Sergent Garcia immediately recognizable: insistently catchy reggae and salsa rhythms, sing-song rap, horn riffs propelling the whole mix.
