The sheer amount of additions that are provided to viewers with this edition of The Muppets are substantial. Making sure that this is not just the feature, the inclusion of the full soundtrack on the digital copy disc will ensure that viewers can rock out. There are a number of fake movie trailers that involve the Muppets, while they further shake up a camera test with everyone’s favorite felt creations. There are a number of featurettes that contain humans, as well.
One will love the Blu-Ray version of the film. Disney has taken a considerable amount of care transferring the theatrical version of the film to optical media. Given a good enough setup, one will have an experience that is comparable to that when the film originally aired in theatres. 2012’s The Muppets has Segel, Amy Adams and Peter Linz’s Walter attempt to get the Muppets back together. By doing so, the trio can ensure that the antagonist – Chris Cooper as oil baron Tex Richman – will be unable to ensure eir plans for world domination. For additional guffaws, watch the extended version of Richman’s “Explaining Evil”; this music video is over the top in all the right ways.
We loved the different deleted scenes, which add considerably to the context of the film as well as the commentary that was laid down by Jason Segel, Nicholas Stoller, and James Bobin. The Scratching the Surface featurette provides viewers with a history of the Muppet and human interaction. Pick up the three-disc combo pack, as it provides viewers with a considerable amount of additional features without having to ramp the price up too much past the $30 dollar mark.
