Tommy has already completed the first two days of the promotional swing, appearing on air at 107 MUS The Moose (Grand Rapids)to announce his upcoming headline performance at the Steel Horse Station Concert Series (www.hotrodhd.com) July 20 – 22. Known regionally as “Muskegon Bike Time,” the Hot Rod Harley-Davidson event brings over 100,000 fans and 35,000 motorcycles to the area. Other recent stops included an on-air interview at 92.1 Big Country WQTX (Lansing) and Win 98.5 WNWN (Battle Creek). Both appearances were in conjunction with events for Perry’s Harley-Davidson dealerships.

Steele’s “My Side of the Street” video is gaining popularity on THE COUNTRY NETWORK (TCN) where it claimed “Breaking Out” status last week. Fans can also catch the video on Tommy’s website (tommysteeleband.com). Produced by BELL-JARBOE Films, the clip brings a new and intriguing interpretation of cultural and social divides to the song. “My Side of the Street” is the first of the new music that Tommy recorded in Nashville with respected veteran singer/songwriter and producer Dave Gibson (Gibson Miller Band).

The mood-infused track was written by hitmakers Travis Meadows and Jack Williams. Music Row’s Robert K. Oermann comments on the single: “Rugged and loaded with blue-collar attitude. Tommy sings with extraordinary conviction and finesse. The track throbs with suppressed energy and the song is an instant, everyman classic.” Steele’s previous hit “Watching Love Grow” brought him to national attention in Fall of 2009. “Forever 17″ followed in May 2010, while”What Kind Of Man” issued in the Fall of that year and remained active through August 2011. While on hiatus from recording, the compelling entertainer has remained busy with a touring schedule that included shows opening for Big & Rich at the Silverdome in Pontiac and CMA Music Festival performances in Nashville last year.

ABOUT TOMMY STEELE

With a distinctive and immediately identifiable sound, Steele’s music is a blend of influences that brings together the edgy musicianship and rocked-out passion of early Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd, with the raw, sparse, lyrical sense of Springsteen. Active in several bands before going solo in 2006, Steele was used to playing more than 200 dates a year. The November 2009 release of his first CD, THE LONG HAUL, generated features in Country Weekly, Music Row and Magazine of Country Music and fanned an already-burning fire in his heart. He’s shared the stage with megastars like Leann Rimes, Gretchen Wilson and Dwight Yoakam and entertained at venues ranging from intimate nightclubs to large festivals.
