WATERS: “MICKEY MANTLE” VIDEO PREMIERE

WATERS premiered their new video of debut LP Out In The Light track “Mickey Mantle” today on Consequence Of Sound. Created by director Peter Ruecktenwald of Vidola Productions using live-action, stop-motion footage of frontman Van Pierszalowski (formerly of Port O’Brien), the clip can now be seen and shared here: http://consequenceofsound.net/2012/05/video-waters-mickey-mantle-cos-premiere/. “Mickey Mantle” was filmed as part of Music Video Race, which paired musicians and filmmakers together to speed-create music videos in just one weekend over May 18th – 20th.

Having wrapped up a massive spring tour with Delta Spirit earlier this month, WATERS will hit the road in support of Nada Surf in two and a half weeks. The tour will launch on June 19th at Chameleon Club in Lancaster, PA and after weaving throughout the midwest, southeast, and southwest, wrap up on July 5th in Baltimore, MD. WATERS is also confirmed for a hometown headline show in San Francisco on July 18th at Brick and Mortar.

Produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Explosions In The Sky, The Walkmen), the band’s debut album Out In The Light was released in late September 2011 via TBD Records, and has since caught the attention of Filter, HearYa, My Old Kentucky Blog, NPR, Nylon, Popmatters, RCRD LBL, and Salon, among others.
