Another October is one of those bands that are able to tie together tremendously emotive lyrics with absolutely intense arrangements. The act is able to blend together equal parts emo, hardcore, and punk music into something that is bubbly, catchy, and will be remembered long after listeners finish up with this EP. Romeo Was Wrong is a tempestuous track that looks back to the halcyon days of Blink-182 while adding an electronic twist to things. The track itself makes a number of twists and turns before it ends, mirroring nicely the bevy of emotions that present themselves during a relationship.

Another impressive side to this EP has to be the production values; few bands are able to blend together piano, bass, drums, guitars and vocals into something coherent, but Another October can make that into a cohesive outing with every track. The EP ends with Last Night With Audrey Hepburn, which shines a spotlight onto the vocals. While the guitars, piano, and drums all provide their own contribution, the overall tenor and direction of the track is provided by the vocals. The EP does a tremendous job in providing listeners with the different facets of Another October; bands are typically unable to even do that on a full-length album.

The tracks on the Storage Stories EP are amazing, but I believe that the energy brought this disc would be multiplied considerably in a live format. Check out their Facebook and see whether they will be coming to a city near you – I believe they will garner legions of fans with each subsequent date.
