Soulful crooner Pony Boy, aka Marchelle Bradanini, puts her own seductive, modern twist on the Americana sound. Her sultry vocals glide above twangy, buzzing guitars and alluring rhythms, exploring themes of the old west and heartache. Joined by drummer Garrett Ray (Fool’s Gold), guitarist JP Bendzinski (Crystal Antlers) and bassist Brandon Owens (Lauryn Hill), Pony Boy will play a short stint of west coast dates in support of the Not In This Town single released digitally on July 31st.

A b-side to the single produced by John Would (Fiona Apple, Wanda Jackson) and featuring Amy Wood (Fiona Apple) on drums, “The Murder Ballad of Carrie Lee” is a bouncy, upbeat track driven by piano and a subtle touch of banjo that allows Bradanini’s vocals to shine as they fluctuate in stunning twists and turns. Single “Not In This Town” is a smoky, slow-burning track perfectly suited for a dimly-lit barroom. Its slow-moving, yet captivating melodies and the delicate shimmer of harp strings create an air of mystery and intrigue, leaving listeners wanting more. Previously released track “Saints & Liars” sets a darker, more bluesy tone, with deep, buzzing guitar and commanding vocals that deliver their message with conviction and control.

Be sure to catch Pony Boy live in LA with Mynabirds & more this month, and stay tuned for more from the fiery songstress!
