Additionally, Rubblebucket has recently signed on to the Artists Against Fracking campaign, alongside artists such as: Tune-Yards, MGMT, Patti Smith, My Morning Jacket, Yoko Ono, and many more. Artists Against  Fracking is an initiative of musicians, actors and other celebrities to build awareness of the destructive effects of fracking. In support of the cause, trumpet/bandleader, Alex Toth wore t-shirt on stage, made Kalmia Travers (lead vocals), reading, “The Sky is Pink”, a reference to Gasland Director Josh Fox’s latest short film addressing the “urgent crisis of drilling and fracking in New York State.” Watch the short film here: https://vimeo.com/44367635
Actor, and fellow Artist Against Fracking, Mark Ruffalo shares,“It’s exciting to see an up and coming group like Rubblebucket lend their voices and funky horns to support this critical cause. We in the arts and entertainment industry have a role to play as cultural ambassadors, and in that regard Artists Against Fracking is a important step in the right direction.”
