Worldwide acoustic rock phenomenon Tenacious D is partnering with VIDDY for a contest to giveaway tickets to a handful of their summer performance dates during their 2012 “Rize of the Fenix” tour. The band is giving away one pair of tickets to each of their five upcoming concerts from July 24 thru July 31. Fans are asked to submit their Summer BBQ videos via VIDDY, tagging them #FENIX.
“We here at Viddy are so excited to be teaming with Tenacious D to give fans the chance to see these guys rock in-person,” says VIDDY co-founder Brett O’Brien. “I know there will be some amazing summer BBQ moments happening out there and there’s no better way of sharing them with the world than through Viddy!”

Tenacious D is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, composed of lead vocalist and guitarist Jack Black and lead guitarist and vocalist Kyle Gass. The band’s studio releases and live performances have more recently featured a full band lineup. Starring in their own television series in 1999, the band gained popularity by supporting large rock acts. Now, with their VIDDY account, Tenacious D fans will get the opportunity to have an interactive experience with the band members. The band has released three albums since they formed in 1994, including Tenacious D, Pick of the Destiny, and Rize of the Fenix, released earlier this year which debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 on the Rock Album Charts. The band starred in their own film Tenacious D in the Pick of the Destiny in 2006 and went on a world tour in support of the film.
