ANKH Record Release Party

ANKH is one of the hottest Vegas-style acts hitting Southern California. They are releasing this September their self titled collections of cover’s from some of the hottest acts of the 80’s. “We, as a band feel honored and privileged to cover some of the best music that came out of the 80’s,” explains Gretchen Bonaduce,” band leader and lead vocals.

ANKH is the brain child of T.V. celebrity Gretchen Bonaduce. Don’t discount her talent; this lady has come singing chops and a great stage vision. Each member is a truly skilled player and all bring these songs to a new level. The uniqueness of the line up and the physical performance is a true spectacle to see. “I have always been a fan of the 80’s,” states Bonaduce. I knew that if I started my own band, I wanted to do something special…not just a typical cover band. I definitely wanted to hire a violin player to make it a little different and was searching high and low for a keytar player. Not only are Alyson Montez (electric violin) and Laura Saggers (keyboard/backing vocals) are both fantastic players…they also look great and have terrific stage presence.”

To round out the lineup is Billy Blade (bass) and Macy Malone (guitar) with Kevin Starr (drums,) who also brings in the street cred with his punk rock pedigree and thunderous drum playing. There are also numerous costume changes and choreographed moves. This is a true must-see show! “We tried to keep the integrity of the music, but put our own twist on each song,” explains Bonaduce. My hope is that it brings back fond memories for those of you lucky enough to grow up in that era.”
