It’s been a pretty hectic few years for 5-piece Brisbane indie-rockers Blonde On Blonde. With the release of their sophomore EP ‘Tease’ in February 2010 and a ball-park amount of support, they’ve set themselves up for a whirlwind year. So far – a road trip over to Las Angeles for MUSEXPO at the end of May and July saw 4 massive support slots alongside renowned Australian rockers, INXS. They now have their vocals chords warm and hands anxious as they head into the studio to record their forthcoming EP. But before they send those sounds wildly out into the world, here is a taste of what’s to come.
Today sees the launch of their new single ‘Act 1’ into to listeners’ ears worldwide. The first 10 seconds will instantly take you away with a head bopping (yes, I said bopping) guitar riff while it progresses and builds into a sound of its own. It’s hands down, their best song yet and just a taster as to what’s to come.
Blonde On Blonde have gone from strength to strength as their live show has become a ‘must see’ for indie-rock lovers, sending the audience through nothing short of a maniacal experience.
The ‘Act 1’ single launch will be held at Brisbane’s Alhambra Lounge on September 7th. Sydney and Melbourne dates to come.
