German thrash legends EXUMER have premiered the video to the title track of their most recent album, Fire & Damnation. It’s the band’s first ever official video clip in their 27 year-long history and was entirely filmed and edited in Sao Paulo, Brazil, during EXUMER‘s South American Damnation tour earlier this summer.

The footage combines the band’s explosive live performance with the harsh conditions prevalent in some of Sao Paulo’s less affluent and privileged neighborhoods, making it a fast pace assault on the viewer’s senses.

Comments vocalist Mem V. Stein: “The idea behind the clip was to showcase the band’s intense relationship with our Brazilian fans in a live situation and the disparities that are still present in one of the fastest growing economies in the world. We chose the song Fire & Damnation because its vibe is quite universal, where you don’t have look to religion or elsewhere to find damnation here on earth. Ultimately, the clip is a “thank you” to all our fans in South America and around the world as we always try to relate to them in an honest and very real way.”

“a meat and potatoes, old-school trash party full of vintage riffs and muscular fretwork.” 9/10, Outburn Magazine

“blistering, arcing, glorious moshfest” Bloody-Disgusting.com

“Rather simple, yet very catchy, riffing, a mid-paced gallop, some nice bass work, etc., all are dutifully included. However, although rather simple and retro, Exumer know what works and are able to deliver an enjoyable album.” About.com

“This isn’t your grandfathers high-pitched, treble-heavy thrash attack, but instead a nice and honest blend of the bands current influences with the undeniable metal cred of Mensh and Stein.” Zero Tolerance Magazine (UK)
