Electro rock/dance duo INFECTED MUSHROOM—comprised of Amit “Duvdev” Duvdevani and Erez Eisen—have announced they will be taking their critically acclaimed live electronic stage show “The Unveiling” to several cities in North America.  Confirmed stops this month include Washington D.C., New York City, Montreal, the World Electronic Music Festival in Ontario, Canada and the Summerset Festival in Somerset, WI, with Salt Lake City to follow in September.

INFECTED MUSHROOM spent close to two and a half years honing their #1 iTunes and Beatport eighth studio full-length release, ARMY OF MUSHROOMS (out now on Dim Mak) which is undeniably their most stylistically varied album to date.  To support their new release, the pair has prepared “The Unveiling.” Departing from a band format, the new live performance features only Duvdevani and Eisen set against an incredible, three-dimensional landscape, designed by Heather Shaw of Vita Motus Design Studio with  Vello Virkhaus of V Squared Labs creating and mapping custom media content onto the structures, which brings INFECTED MUSHROOM’s visual and sonic journey to life.

The show debuted at Avalon in Hollywood, CA this past spring, garnering critical acclaim:

Throughout the night, the display ventured through space, futuristic cities, deep depths of the ocean, lightning stricken Mayan temples, coral reefs and endless tunnels to unimaginable realms. Not one soul stood still as Infected Mushroom introduced the audience to their newfound sound with a blend of dubstep, house and drum ‘n’ bass.”

Hollywood’s historic venue the Avalon hosted the band Infected Mushroom’s first unveiling of its new stage production–a trippy tour de force of audio and visual that incorporates the latest in 3-D mapping technology…In conjunction with the release of its eighth full-length album Army of Mushrooms, Infected Mushroom (Amit “Duvdev” Duvdevani and Erez Eisen) unveiled a new live show May 12 in L.A. The band enlisted Virkhaus and his team, as well as Heather Shaw of design studio Vita Motus, to construct a new stage production that, in many ways, pushes the concert-going experience to intensely sensory levels…”

Pardon me but I’m still trying to piece my mind back together after Infected Mushroom’s insane performance last Saturday, May 12th at Hollywood’s Avalon…The term trippy just doesn’t even begin to describe how intense and strange the visuals were; it was nearly impossible for anyone to avert their attention from the mayhem.  The boys from Israel rocked some of their most recognizable hits including “Becoming Insane,” “Cities Of The Future” and “Heavyweight,” as well as music from their new LP Army Of Mushrooms, out now on Dim Mak. Early on they dropped their new dubstep experiment “U R So F*cked,” a track that got progressively crazier every second they played it. The energy increased tenfold when they played their celebrated drum’n’bass cover of “The Pretender” by the Foo Fighters, a track they’ve been dropping for quite some time now. “Serve My Thirst” saw a more traditional Infected vibe swell from those in attendance, with frenetic four-to-the-floor rhythms filling the venue.”

About INFECTED MUSHROOM:
Originally formed in 1997 and hailing from Kiryat Yam, Haifa District, Israel, INFECTED MUSHROOM has certainly left their stamp on the electro dance and rock genres, having worked with the likes of Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction) and Jonathan Davis (Korn). In the process, the group has issued such hit albums as 2009’s Legend of the Black Shawarma (which peaked at #9 on Billboard‘s Top Electronic Albums chart) and scored such dance hits as “Killing Time” and “Smashing the Opponent.”  ARMY OF MUSHROOMS, out now on Dim Mak Records, is their eighth and most stylistically varied album to date.  It features singles “Nation of Wusses” and “U-R-So-Fu**ed,” as well as collaborations with Borgore, Zedd and Zia Macovich and a cover of Foo Fighters “The Pretender.”
