After weeks of successfully working around the United States stringent artist visa policies, Parisian rock band DAD was stopped at the US Consulate during their tour in Canada and subsequently denied entry to the USA. Sources close to the band cite the reason for the revoked visas being the similarity in the name of band member Adrien Daoud to that of Adel Daoud, a teenaged US Citizen whose plan for detonating a car bomb was foiled by the FBI earlier this week in Chicago.

DAD denies all ties to the alleged terrorist and raises concerns about artists’ rights to work visas in the United States. All US dates have been cancelled. DAD’s debut album Vitro is slated for US release on Tuesday September 25th.

DAD’s new music video for their single recently premiered exclusively on IFC where thewho struggle to bring their performance to the United States is alluded to in the copy.
