El Ten Eleven will be kicking off their North American tour next week and are pleased to announce the acts that they will be bringing along with them. New York via Miami producer Michna will be main support for the majority of the run, performing his blend of futuristic house meets hip-hop from his new EP on Ghostly International. Fellow Ghostly act Beacon, whose slinky R&B-fueled music was described by Pitchfork as “elegant, darkly shaded electronic pop” and Austin trio Boyfrndz whose sound was described by Impose as being made up of “heavy, dark guitar hits, with faded, shoegaze like vocals” will perform on a handful of dates. Chicago’s Yourself and the Air will bring their dancey, effervescent indie rock to the second leg of the tour while Dallas based band Ishi will  offer up their self-described “folktronic” sounds on several dates.

El Ten Eleven’s latest tour is in support of their forthcoming album, Transitions, which will be released on the band’s Fake Record Label imprint on November 6. To get fans excited for the tour the band is now streaming the album in full at their label site, FakeRecordLabel.com. The album is also now available on Spotify where it is a featured release. The LP has been well received at radio and was #13 most added with 26 adds this week, debuting at #85 on CMJ Top 200.

Transitions is the Los Angeles/San Diego instrumental power duo’s fifth album and features seven tracks that encapsulate the life-changing events (divorce, marriage, birth, moving to different cities) that have been happening to the pair over the last couple of years. The LP is filled with the band’s trademark guitar trickery, mesmerizing looping, shape-shifting tempos, intricate time signatures and melodic pop arrangements but also features them experimenting with new sonics, hip-hop drum beats and longer song structures, as evidenced on the title track.

The band’s first single “Yellow Bridges” was just released on limited edition 7-inch vinyl on September 11 backed with non-album track “3k” and can be purchased at FakeRecordLabel.com. The surreal video for “Yellow Bridges,” which premiered on Noisey, was animated by Cyriak, the award winning British animator known for his bizarre, trippy and sometimes disturbing animations.
