Arizona sludgedemons GODHUNTER have completed the primary writing stages of their newest planet-raping audio thunder, set to be recorded and released in 2013, but have more pending matters to attend to first, as the band prepare for a few massive regional live performances this week

Tonight the Tucson-based GODHUNTER will add devastating support to the Mesa, Arizona stop of the mammoth, ongoing national tour including Sourvein, Weedeater and the almighty Saint Vitus!

GODHUNTER are also responsible for having booked the debut of the SOUTHWEST TERROR FEST, the event to bring a plethora of underground acts to Tucson for a massive yet exceptionally affordable two-day DIY extreme music gathering, this Friday and Saturday, October 19th and 20th. Featuring stages sponsored by Earsplit PR and Metalifestyle.com, GODHUNTER are one of the more than thirty extreme acts set to play, also including Bereft, Hull, Sons Of Tonatiuh, Diseased Reason, Pigeonwing, North, Ladybird and tons more.

Extensive tour plans, including a Winter trek and a Spring tour crashing SXSW 2013 and back are being devised; watch for more live attacks to be declared in the coming weeks.

GODHUNTER will enter Arcane Digital Studios in Chandler, Arizona (Exhumed, Misery Index, Phobia) next Summer with producer Ryan Butler (Landmine Marathon, Unruh) to record the follow-up to this year’s bellowing Wolves release. The disparaging new album will bear the title City Of Dust – a concept album about life in this decaying desert shithole of a town – and is being constructed to see release in the second half of next year, with more info to be confirmed in the weeks ahead. The band have been bashing faces in on-stage with material from the new album over recent weeks, including the brutal new hymn “This Will Not End Well” as documented through recently acquired live footage viewable AT THIS LOCATION.

Wolves can still be streamed in its entirety and is available for purchase direct from GODHUNTER. Review copies of Wolves and interviews with the band are available now via Earsplit.
