The Global Elite, the debut album from Minneapolis industrial metal war machine
SKROG, is now available for purchase as a digital download at skrog.bandcamp.com
where it can also be streamed in its entirety.

SKROG is the work of vocalist/multi-instrumentalist/composer Jay Reiter and The Global Elite is an explosive, damning account of the current state of American politics and policies. Sonically speaking, SKROG draws influence from bands spanning a wide musical spectrum of dark music – from the dance/techno styles of LORD OF ACID, SKINNY PUPPY, and FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY all the way to SLAYER, MINISTRY, CHIMAIRA, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, and CANNIBAL CORPSE. Indeed, elements of black metal, death metal, doom, and thrash can all be heard in one form or another on The Global Elite.  In SKROG Reiter has developed a means of pushing industrial metal into a more modern and aggressive form of music.

Reiter had this to say about the themes explored on The Global Elite:

“SKROG’s The Global Elite is the perfect summarization of 2012. It reflects on a lot of the political turmoil across the globe. It speaks out to the ‘99%.’ It reflects on the ‘Occupy’ movement. It speaks out against terrorism. And best of all, it speaks to people around the world. Although the album focuses quite a bit on America and its global policies, a lot of issues The Global Elite addresses affect everyone. No matter who you are or where you come from, SKROG’s The Global Elite will move and affect you.”
