Pearl and the Beard is a stirring mixture of three voices, one cello, one guitar, one glockenspiel, one melodica, several drums, ninety-six teeth, and one soul. Following the release of the their sophomore album Killing The Darlings, the band has toured tirelessly: loving to perform live and connect personally with fans. Pearl and the Beard’s energized performance and lush arrangements have been captivating audiences since forming in 2008. The band’s live show “takes their music to the next level,” hailed NYLON. Kicking off a national tour of headlining shows, the threesome will support Ani DiFranco on a stint of east coast dates this Fall.

Jocelyn Mackenzie, Emily Hope Price, and Jeremy Styles united in Brooklyn and quickly became a notable trio, creating their own unique blend pop, folk and soul which is at the same time emotive and playful. Heartfelt ballad “40K” is led by jazz riffs and pounding drums, building to soaring vocal harmonies. Check out the “40K” MP3 where it premiered with Paste Magazine or HERE. Feel free to post and share this track and be sure to catch the band LIVE on tour!
