As a band celebrated for creating fearlessly innovative music, PVT are excited to be entering into a brand new stage with the announcement of the first single from their upcoming fourth studio album, new label signings, and world tours. Speaking of world tours, tonight they wrap up their Fall tour with Menomena in Seattle, and to celebrate the occassion their remix of their tour mates’ song “Plumage” hit Stereogum yesterday. Check it out here before the weekend. PVT also stopped in for a session with Out of Town Films while in Philadelphia, and you can see them performing the single “Nightfall” here. The band is now off to Europe, where they will be joining Gotye and Bloc Party on tour for the rest of the year.
PVT’s new album is to be titled Homosapien, a powerful body of work built upon the concept of the human condition. “Nightfall”, stays true to their driving impulse to create new, genre-defying music. While incorporating throbbing vintage drum machines and found-sound samples, we see vocals take on a greater importance than ever before. Adding to the momentum taking shape in the lead up to the release of Homosapien is the wonderful news that PVT have signed on with the highly respected labels Create/Control (ANZ) and Felte (ROW ex. France). Felte recently released the self-titled album by Brooklyn-based band ERAAS.
