Telly.com, the world’s leading social video network, announced today the release of a major mobile app upgrade in partnership with the popular music bands Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, and 7Lions. Available today on Telly’s iPhone and Android applications, Telly users can now overlay hit tracks like Korn’s “Falling Away From Me” or “Way Too Far” (from their most recent album, The Path of Totality) onto a video recorded from the Telly app. Using custom music technology, the songs will automatically adjust in length to the length of the video, providing users with a smooth and engaging final video.  Users will then have the option to opt-in to a contest with a chance to win Korn concert tickets for life and a year supply of Monster Energy drinks as well as other exclusive prizes. Using Telly’s unique open collections feature, which allows multiple users to submit videos they create to a shared collection, Korn will select at least 10 finalists and from those 2 runner ups and one grand prize winner. The contest is running from now until Monday, December 10th. Click here for details.

“Since launching the Telly mobile apps a few months ago, users have been asking for well-known popular music to overlay on their videos,” explains Telly.com co-founder and CEO, Mo Al Adham. “We were thrilled to have the opportunity to work together with great bands like Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, and 7Lions to give our users a better video creation experience, and a chance at a big prize.”

Telly provides bands like Korn with a great opportunity to leverage video as a new and unique way to expose users to their music and drive sales. Using Telly’s Call to Action feature, all videos created that use a Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, or 7Lions song will have a custom link that appears while the video is playing, inviting the viewer to buy the song or download the album from iTunes or Amazon MP3. “We experimented with Telly’s Call to Action feature with some of our backstage video footage and saw significant click-through rates and reaction from fans,” explains Korn’s management Prospect Park. “We’re excited to expand our presence on Telly by offering users exclusive access to Korn’s music and contest in creating custom mobile videos. Can’t wait to see what our fans come up with!”
