Touché is duo Alex Lilly and Bram Inscore, who touch upon hallucinogenic and esoteric ideas, aiming to find the place where their psyches overlap. The result is anthemic pop pieces darkened by the desires of the human heart and sharpened by personal politics. Exploring themes of lust, obsession, fate, and the struggle for control, Touché’s I’m A Man Not A Machinesingle was released this Tuesday, October 30th. The single package includes a remix by Wynne Bennett of Twin Shadow, who goes under the moniker Lee Cooper when remixing. You can purchase the single package HERE, and grab a free MP3 of the I’m A Man Not A Machine” (Lee Cooper remix) where it premiered with Death and Taxes or HERE.

Touché has also shared a brand new remix of previously released track “Snow White.” LA-based producer Daedelus puts his touch on the track with his “Snow White” (Daedelus’ Pig Hearted remix), which you can download where it premiered with XLR8R or HERE. Feel free to post & share!

Separately, the two halves of Touché have been involved in a slew of musical projects. Alex’s previous project was prog-pop outfit Obi Best and she has played keys and sung back-up for The Bird and the Bee, Ry Cooder, and Nick Lowe as well as recently joining folk supergroup The Living Sisters. Bram has kept busy as touring and recording bassist & keyboardist for acts like Beck, Thurston Moore, and Charlotte Gainsbourg, and is currently a member of Twin Shadow. As Touché, they’ve shared stages with MEN, Active Child, and Daedelus in their hometown of LA. Stay tuned for more from Touché coming soon!
