Wipeout IPA is a heady and nuanced IPA that expands what one can reasonably expect from the India Pale Ale style. The beer pours out nicely with a brown-orange color and a considerable head. The 7% ABV of this beer is moderated nicely by the bite of the hops, which provide imbibers with notes of pine and citrus fruits.  Caramel notes dominate the end of each sip; Wipeout IPA’s finish is warming and will stick around nicely before disappearing into the next  drink.

Wipeout IPA is an effort that even those that are not fans of the IPA style can get behind. There is more to this beer than bitterness, and I believe that this eclectic flavor sets Wipeout IPA far above other efforts in this style. The 22 ounce size proffered is the perfect amount to adequately taste the Wipeout and get a nice warm feel from the beer. For those that like a biting, bold, and bright beer, the Wipeout IPA would be a perfect birthday present or holiday gift.

The Wipeout IPA is one of the best India Pale Ales that we have reviewed at NeuFutur, and Make sure to check out the Port Brewing website for more information about their lineup of beers, and see what additions that they will make through 2013.
