Catch a Cold is a track that allows the widest possible swath of listeners to appreciate 2 The Nines’ inimitable style. While there is a catchiness to the song that would easily make it onto rock radio rotation, Hic Up is a darkly emotive track that sets the stage for subsequent efforts; the track has a bounciness that is bold and distinctive. These introductory efforts stand at opposite poles, and allow listeners to hear the sheer range of influences that inspire Oblivion.

A Change is Gonna Come allows 2 The Nines to further expand their sound. What was a very specific acoustic feel early in the disc opens up into something larger during the middle and ending registers. Each addition, whether it is bass, drums, or synthesizer pushes Oblivion into a decidedly better state. Baby’s Coming is a soulful, funk-laden bit of rock that settles into a Maroon 5  meets Fall Out Boy groove; the guitar work that issues forth will appease fans of Santana and O.A.R. alike. Haunting You is the penultimate track on Oblivion, allowing 2 The Nines to provide a little more rock-laden and toothy approach to their fans.

All These Drugs is a late-disc track that showcases the spontaneous nature of the band; the track feels substantially different from the rest of the album. What unites All These Drugs with the rest of the cuts on Oblivion is the same dedication to quality and creating touching, heart-felt music. Make it a point to check out the 2 The Nines website for further information about the band and any subsequent releases.
